Kruger National Park, in northeastern South Africa, is one of Africa’s largest game reserves and is one of the most well known. It covers nearly 20,000 km² and has a range of different ecozones.
Having spent a lot of time in Europe over the past few years we needed an 'animal fix' so decided to spend some time traveling in the Kruger National Park from North to South.
We travelled up through Mpumalanga and Limpopo to the northernmost point in South Africa and entered Kruger at the Pafuri Gate. On our way north we stopped for a couple of nights at Blouberg Nature Reserve and 2 more nights at Mapungubwe National Park.
