We wanted to escape the British winter over Christmas and the New Year so took a ferry to Northern Spain and spent 3 1/2 weeks exploring the North West of Spain and the Northern and Central parts of Portugal - not somewhere we'd ever been to before.
We were lucky with the weather as, after the first couple of days, we had 10 days of sunshine and not much wind.

We had to spend 4 nights in bed and breakfast accommodation after our camper broke down just before the New Year and they weren't able to get the parts until January 2nd.
