KwaZulu-Natal and The Kruger National Park 2009.

My sister, Diana, and her husband, David, visited us from the UK for nearly 3 weeks in July / August. They said they'd like to go to a Game Park, see the mountains and some battlefields, easy enough to do from Richmond as there are the Drakensburg Mountains a few hours drive away, Anglo-Zulu, Anglo-Boer and Boer-Zulu battlefields and memorials in the KZN Midlands and a couple of good Game Reserves. However I decided that visiting the Kruger National Park would be even better so worked out a route that would start and finish in Richmond and take in mountains, battlefields and the Kruger - and would allow a couple of days at the beach as well.

There are 4 pages with details of our time in KZN.

1. Richmond

2. Beaches

3. Royal Natal, Drakensburg Mountains

4. Battlefields

5. Kruger National Park

6. Arathusa Safari Lodge, Sabie Sands, Kruger

Kruger is a huge Park and we only saw a tiny bit of it. We spent a couple of days in South Kruger and then went to Arathusa Safari Lodge, a private reserve in the Sabie Sands area of the Park.
